about: Blaqstar Farms is a Los Angeles–based, Black-owned cannabis brand rooted in craft cultivation and cultural purpose. Founded by Bryant Mitchell, Blaqstar is an artisan indoor grow built on a simple standard: clean, high-quality flower that’s grown for the full experience—smell, taste, and how it actually hits—without chasing quantity for quantity’s sake.
The name “Blaqstar” pulls from Marcus Garvey’s Black Star Line and the hip-hop group Black Star, reflecting the brand’s deeper mission: to challenge the negativity often attached to “Blackness” and instead promote strength, excellence, and opportunity in the cannabis space.
Blaqstar Farms has also been recognized as part of equity-forward efforts in California’s legal market—showing up as a brand that’s not only about premium product, but also about widening access and visibility for underrepresented founders and communities.
